This morning, the hosts of Fox and Friends brought up FBI Director Robert Mueller’s recent comments warning that if Guantanamo detainees are allowed into U.S. prisons, they may turn to “radicalizing” other inmates. Fox News contributor Joel Mowbray said that it would be dangerous putting detainees into U.S. prisons because guards “know how to handle rapists and murderers and drug dealers,” but “they do not know how to handle terrorists.” Former New York Times reporter Judith Miller took issue with Mowbray’s conclusions, saying, “We know how to do this.” To back up her point, she pulled out her street cred and cited her time serving in prison:

Joel, I’m sorry, but I was actually in a jail with — one floor away — from Zacarias Moussaoui. … We know how to do this. Believe me, we can do it. The issue is, is it politically acceptable to the American people? That we’re not sure about.

5. Judith Miller and 9/11

A little know fact about Judith Miller, she was made aware of the pending attacks on 9/11 around July 4, 2001 and then she and her editor did very little to nothing in terms of putting this story on the front pages of the New York Times, her newspaper at the time.

7. Miller and 9/11

Google it, this story is now found on the internet. Miller was told by people at the NSA in July 2001 that she had been working with on a story on Al Qaeda, that an overheard phone conversation between two al Qaeda terrorists went something like this.

One terrorist professed disappointment that the attacks on the Cole had not elicited any major response from the US. The other al Qaeda terrorist replied, "just wait the next attack will be so big the US will be forced to respond". When presented to the New York Times, both Miller and her editor wanted to go with this story, by the editor in charge of running such a story said they needed more information to make it a front page story. Miller could not come up with any additional information, which is hard to believe given her connections to US intelligence officials at the time and the massive warnings of a huge al Qaeda attack just about to take place inside of the US. With this information, and with a position as a journalist, why didn't she or the New York Times google Bin Laden or the London-based newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi, the paper closely associated with Bin Laden.

It turns out al-Quds al-Arabi had reported Bin laden boasting of a huge attack about to take place inside of the US, just 3 weeks prior to the attacks on 9/11. It was al-Quds al-Arabi that had reported the world wide publishing of the al Qaeda Fatwa, on February 23, 1998, a Fatwa written by no other than Sheikh Abdel Rahman, the blind sheikh that had masterminded the original attack on the World Trade Center Towers in 1993.

This Fatwa clearly indicated that Bin Laden had not only declared war on the US but that he was preparing a major attack on a target inside of the US, which anyone with half a brain could have quickly figured out, had to be the World Trade Center Towers, since this group had attack this same target once before in 1993. Once it was widely known that the al Qaeda terrorists went back after the USS Cole after missing the USS the Sullivans nine months earlier at the very same location, everyone had to know that the al Qaeda terrorists never give up on any target they had previously had missed, but go back after it and make sure it is ultimately completely destroyed!
