According to this reporting, Gonzales wasn't even AG yet, the OLC memos hadn't even been written yet, when Abu G. was telling the CIA to go ahead and torture people. From the White House. Holy shite.

If they were committing violations prior to those memos, it would fit that they had been doing things long before informing Pelosi - and long before it was considered 'authorized' by the 'legal' memos.
