1. K & R, so true.
Edited on Fri May-01-09 01:46 PM by ihavenobias
As someone said in the YouTube comments, she's the female version of Glenn Beck. If I lived in MN, I'd be incredibly embarrassed.

PS---Speaking of pride, I'm proud of Cenk for getting last night for breaking this story:

(About 150,000 views at HuffPo alone).

And she's a national embarrassment IMO.

And yet, she almost lost the election. She won't win the next one, I guarandamntee. Her moranity exceeds her popularity.

You go Minnesota, and send Bachmann packing at the next election. Minnesota is too awesome a state, to keep in office someone so goofy. We have our own nut job here in Iowa.. Steve King. How these people keep getting in office is beyond me. I swear someone is fixing these elections

Please! I mean, we can't win every seat. And if we have Republicans, we ought to be able to get some laughs out of them.

Besides, she's the PERFECT running mate for my second favorite Republican-Sarah Palin!

Palin-Bachmann 2012. I'm behind them!

25. I get really irritated - and quite frankly OUTRAGED when people criticize Bachmann
and make jokes about her intelligence. I always thought that DU would be a place that would be sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities. Bachmann is clearly mentally retarded, and as such, we should really tone down the abrasive comments and be more understanding of her situation and disability.

Do YOURSELF a favor. Defeat this ignorant slut in the primaries. THEN, you can all vote repuke and you won't look quite as brain dead. Sending this dumb bitch to Washington on YOUR behalf only verifies that YOU are a bunch of lame, brain dead, non-caring buffoons.

Wake up you dumb shits!

While it goes without saying that not all of us in Minnesota are as dumb as Bachmann or her supporters, I fully endorse and applaud the lambasting of the entire state until the 6th district is either embarrassed into picking a better rep, or until the rest of the state revolts and declares that they don't belong to us at all.

9. I don't think she can claim ignorance.
She has no reasonable explanation, given the circumstances, to catapult the propaganda simply so her and her party can regain power. No, she has entered the realm of stupidity. She knows what she is saying is bs, like the water-carrier Limbaugh.

If that isn't evil, I don't know what is.

Think about what a wonderful effect Dubya has had on previous presidents.

Even the late Kurt Vonnegut, punch drunk as we all were (and continue to be) by the Dim Son, was quoted as saying "Honestly, I wish Nixon were president."

14. WTF?
Does she think this is 2003, the apogee of the Bush Iron Curtain, and something this imbecilic would actually get some resonance in the right wing media echo chamber?

It might be worse if she argued for legalizing slavery by race again.

Or FDR would have served America better if he had been assassinated by plots of the monied elite of the thirties. Damn you, Smedley Butler!

I guess it could be worse?

There might really be such a thing as bad publicity. And this would be it.

But not nearly as entertaining and delicious as Dick Cheney's bold traitorous media pronouncements. Is there any place on the internet one could go to encourage Dick to get more aggressive in his PR tour? Dick - in these desperate times, we need heros like you back in MSM. The View, Oprah, Leno, Letterman, Obrian, Handler, Stewert, Colbert, Fallon, Fergeson, Rock, Kimmel, King, Mahr, McHale, Daly, Philbin, O'Reilly, and so on, REALLY WANT YOUR APPEARANCE ON THEIR SHOWS!

Damn, I feel asleep in the first couple of minutes and missed it.

Good thing I dvr every night of Keith and Rachel, huh?

It's nice Rachel is so internet savvy and also I think the country would be well served by having Cenk in a nice place in MSM. A Rachel and/or Keith recurring segment, like Richard Wolfe and Howard Fineman and John Dean and Anna Marie Cox?

I like Cenk. I'm just maxed out on the 2 liberal addiction hours a night. I'm so spoiled if there gets to be 12 hours a night of liberal MSM I'll be forced to make some difficult choices.

20. No, he wasn't on the show, she just gave him credit for breaking the story.
Per my link in the first comment, he obtained and showed the video two nights ago, then wrote an explosively popular story about it for Huffington Post (that spread all over).

PS---You know you can download the first hour of TYT free through Itunes? I'm a member, so I pay $10 a month and get access to all of the podcasts and the uncensored third hour and post game show. It ends up being 14+ hours of content a week (for $2.50), which is damn good value.

21. She's not dumb, she's following the Fox News playbook
Hey, maybe she knows exactly what she's doing....remember how Fox puts a (D) after Republican's names when they're accused/convicted of a crime, or when they do something stupid?

Maybe she intentionally blames Democrats for all the things she was talking about, because all the brain-dead people who think she's wonderful will lap it up and actually accept it as gospel.

Remember, if you repeat a lie often enough, people will think it's the truth...

I mean folks all pay their taxes whether it be Republican or Democrat people want their dollars to go to someone good at their job. GOP voters you can raise your standards at least if any out their lurking. Our side elected president Obama we may not all agree on his policy but we can at least say he's the smartest guy in the room in charge of all the facts. That's the route to go when voting either side whatever the gender of the elected official is inconsequential just competant.

is certifiably entrenched Limbots. But I heard from a caller on air america that Michelle gets her information supplied to her from a local Republican (so-called) 'think' tank organization with a title like Committee for the Conservative Experience or some such noble sounding phrase to cover the dim-witted people in it. She likely knows that her information is false, according to this caller, but also knows that her constituents will not know it and believe whatever story she gives them anyway. Look up 'Stearns County Syndrome' which is the upper end of her gerrymandered district. It is a pocket of town and country hillbillies- some with golf clubs, but most with DUI's in their past and future.

Bachmann's warped views and damn-the-facts take on issues of reality reflects a sizeable percentage of her constituency. One can only hope that her slim 2008 margin of victory represents a trend toward eventual defeat, the sooner the better!
