2. 100% backwards
No prosecutions means that justice and the rule of law have no meaning any longer in the USA.

That would make us a "banana republic", Mr. McCain.

100% wrong, as usual.

Edited on Fri Apr-24-09 01:36 PM by AlbertCat
And of course...spending 75 million of tax payer money on a blow job....excuse me a 20 year old failed land deal....makes us what exactly?

A Banana Prude Republic?

5. A banana republic?
One where the Supreme Court of the country picks the winner of the election? One where government contracts go to friends of el Presidente? One where contributing to the opposition party can land you in jail (Don Siegelman, Martha Stewart) on trumped up charges? One where natural disasters far from the capital city are ignored? I think your assumption that the U.S. is not already a banana republic is in error, Johnny.

6. Righhhhht.
McCain (his waterboarding vote aside) says that waterboarding is torture. Boehner said in a statement "The United States does not torture". But if the AG were to prosecute, Obama would be the partisan hack.

7. So you don't mind Senator if we waterboard these lawyers to make sure it was only "bad advice?"
...and not a neo-con attempt at hegemony which required these attorneys to provide the "right" interpretation? Or if we waterboard Bush & Cheney to see if they really wanted their attorneys' advice or if they really wanted a "rubber stamp" to commit torture?

And go fuck yourself, Senator. I resent you talking down to me. If I ask my lawyer if it would be okay if I murder someone and s/he says "yes," then s/he needs to be in jail. It's not a question of "bad advice."

You don't mind if we waterboard you to make sure you're telling us the truth, do you?

14. How can one party be so wrong ALL the time???
It's amazing that this worn out, f*cked up party doesn't at least get something right once in awhile.

johnny mcAncient is a loser. He is a mixed up old fart that doesn't matter anymore. His daughter matters much more than he has in the last 10 years. Just go away and drink beers with your best supporter...your wife. She'll keep you entertained, and you can ride off into the sunset. Just don't crash on the ride.

Article Six: Federal power
Main article: Article Six of the United States Constitution

Article Six establishes the Constitution, and the laws and treaties of the United States made in accordance with it, to be the supreme law of the land, and that "the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, any thing in the laws or constitutions of any state notwithstanding." It also validates national debt created under the Articles of Confederation and requires that all federal and state legislators, officers, and judges take oaths or affirmations to support the Constitution. This means that the states' constitutions and laws should not conflict with the laws of the federal constitution and that in case of a conflict, state judges are legally bound to honor the federal laws and constitution over those of any state.

20. So is it legal to advise someone to violate the constitution?
of someone's civil rights? If they follow this bad advice, they are acting in good faith, and cannot be prosecuted.

Wheeee! Can we get, in writing, what parts of the law McCain thinks should not be enforced?
