Why? Because he can't seem to stick to one story. He contradicts himself and the 9/11 Commission's final report. So do other eyewitnesses, but the 9/11 Commission decided to just omit those accounts.

Was Cheney colluding with Rumsfeld to roll out "Continuity of Government" or, as researcher Peter Dale Scott calls it in this segment from a recent lecture, "Change of Government"?

Scott calls for the questioning of Cheney, under oath, regarding his actions on the morning of 9/11. He suggests that this could lead to early impeachment.

Were Cheney & Rumsfeld attempting to roll out the Shadow Government in a manner most UN-constitutional... and did they succeed?

Or is the best yet to come?

When I heard of the new presidential directive the president has signed I started looking at all the power this administration has gained through nefarious efforts. The article at the above link came up as did Cheney's orchestrating of events on 9/11. My take on all of this is that the administration is building its power bunker that will protect them when the revolution starts (I'm certain they're well aware of increasing impeachment threats). 5. I always wonder about United 93..

what it's target was and how even worse things would have been if the Capitol had been demolished.

That would have been the de facto "Reichstag Fire"*.

I believe the flight being delayed and brought down by the passengers (or missile) saved constitutional govt from the final coup de grace. Of course it may come to pass that it only delayed the inevitable.

(*The twin towers demolition was the spectacle and the Pentagon hit was necessary to provide the casus belli - it being a military installation).

9. I am sure they bungled

If the Capitol had been hit the coup would have been complete. Because they bungled they had to pull the anthrax bit to confuse the press and Dems while they re-thought the plan. Bush looked scared shitless while he waited in that school for all the planes to hit their targets. When the Capitol wasn't taken out he had to stay aloft in Airforce One while they tried to figure out how to deal with the fact that maybe they dare not go through with martial law and install the shadow-government-in-waiting.

I still expect them to take out the Capitol Building and finish off the Dems. Dirty bomb, anybody? Folks that ruthless can't afford to leave office and let all their misdeeds come to light.

What I want to know is why Cheney was put in charge of 'Operation Northern Guardian'
A military excercise that happened only on or about 9/11, the only VP in history
that I know of that was ever in charge of a military 'training' excercise....makes you wonder.

NORAD begins Operation Northern Vigilance. For this military operation, it deploys fighters to Alaska and Northern Canada to monitor a Russian air force exercise in the Russian Arctic and North Pacific Ocean, scheduled for September 10 to September 14. The Russian exercise involves its bombers staging a mock attack against NATO planes that are supposedly planning an assault on Russia. The NORAD fighters are due to stay in Alaska and Canada until the end of the Russian exercise. At some time between 10:32 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on 9/11, Russian President Vladimir Putin will call the White House to say the Russians are voluntarily halting their exercise.

NORAD is conducting a week-long, large-scale exercise called Vigilant Guardian. Deskins is regional mission crew chief for the Vigilant Guardian exercise. Vigilant Guardian is described as “an exercise that would pose an imaginary crisis to North American Air Defense outposts nationwide”; as a “simulated air war”; and as “an air defense exercise simulating an attack on the United States.”

An “emergency response exercise” is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. the morning of 9/11, involving the simulated crash of a small corporate jet plane into a government building. The exercise is to be conducted by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, Virginia—just four miles from Washington Dulles International Airport, from where Flight 77 took off, and 24 miles from the Pentagon.
