Some may argue whether this was a politically significant event, but I say it was a monumental moment in American culture.

1. It's part of the Obama revolution

Call it the new Zeitgeist. The convict is losing power as an urban icon, being replaced by dignified civility.
Way back in the early sixties many teens liked to dress like the gangsters of the day. It all seemed so hip and glamorous. Then the Vietnam War came and realigned sensibilities. Those who hung on to the gangster look came to be called bubblegum gangsters.

the "gangsta" look is out, although there is quite a few fellows who don't know it yet.

I was just lucky enough to be there when that little girl was yelling out the window, and thought the world should know about it.
