1. I want to watch it, but the idea of it makes me cringe. I wish he hadn't said it and I know he
has to feel like a big jackass. That is the worst feeling.
I'm going to muster up my courage and watch it.
I promise.
Maybe tomorrow.
Or on Sunday.

2. I feel the same way! I just walked away from the TV with the tape running.
I have a family member who is a Special Olympics bowler. And he can bowl better than a 129!

3. Don't worry. It was a non-controversy.

4. It was a stupid thing to say. Really stupid. If a friend said it, I'd cringe and shake my head.
This was said on Jay Leno. In front of strangers. Millions of them.
Controversial? Yes.
Does show that Barack Obama harbors a secret disrespect for people who compete in the Special Olympics or people with disabilities? Of course not.
But it was a stupid thing to say and I know that he is kicking himself for it right now, feeling like a jackass.
I feel sorry for him because that is such a shitty feeling.

7. He was not making fun of Special Olympics athletes.

And I don't imagine he feels like a jackass. But, yeah, obviously, it would have clearly been better if he had not gone there.

9. Doesn't matter. The media will love this. Already been hearing about it on morning radio shows.

5. From Politco dot com
After President Barack Obama said on the Jay Leno show that his bad bowling looked "like Special Olympics or something," the White House quickly issues a statement: "The President made an offhand remark making fun of his own bowling that was in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics. He thinks that the Special Olympics are a wonderful program that gives an opportunity to shine to people with disabilities from around the world," spokesman Bill Burton said.

11. My retarded brother bowls a 131 average.
He says, "Woo-hoo! I'm better than the Presid-nent! But you know what? Keeping score is the hard part. I can't do that. Can he do that? Maybe he should stick to being the score keeping guy."
