When Obama had the chance to do something about compensation, it only applied to cases going forward, addressed only salaries, not bonuses which comprise the lion share of compensation. And if that gaping hole wasn't enough, these "limits" only applied to institutions that receive "extraordinary" help from the government.

Give me a break. I'm so pissed off with the hemming and hawing and "I-didn't-knows-they-would-do-that", I don't know what to say!

C'mon! How much longer are we going to allow our government (repubs or dems), to go through these sham investigations without criminal and/or civial charges to back them up?

Tim Geithner, the leftover lackey from the Bush administration didn't want any limits on compensation and fought the few people in Congress who wanted it. This timidity from Obama isn't what I voted for.

I realize this isn't a dictatorship where he can rule by decree. However, for his own branch of government, he sets the agenda. I don't want an apologist, I want a leader.

People can get mad all they want at the corporate fat cat douchebags, but it is the designers of the bailout that should be having questions thrown at them.How in the hell do you miss this?
Either the writers of the bailouts are incompetent or they knew these bonuses were on contract and expected to be paid out.
