1. Pure republican mis information talking points propaganda. the facts are
Edited on Wed Mar-04-09 01:06 AM by bjobotts
The new deal did not fail...unemployment rates he quotes were down 10% in the thirties when FDR began to govern They were at 25% before and dropped to 10% which was still high but a sure sign the new deal was working.
He talks like workers going to work will pay higher taxes when the tax increases only affect 5% (the top 2% of the nations wealthiest). No increase on the first $250k...and if you make $251k thenm the rate increase only affects the $1000 over the $250k, not the first $250k.

It is nothing new, it is a return to the Clinton economic tax plan which left the country with a budget surplus...AND which went through congress without a single republican vote...just like now. When FDR listened to republicans and tried to cut spending and balance the budget for 2yrs then the economy started to tank again so he quickly switched back to new deal politics and pulled us out of the depression. These repukes pull stats from this 2yr period only without looking at the whole period.

They screamed socialism at FDR also and called him comrade Roosevelt. While secretly trying to get Col. Smedley Butler to over throw FDR for these "economic royalists" including grand pa Bush. Under the repubs the banks failed, the stock market crashed, and the housing market collapsed...sound familiar. This is not some new socialism...it is returning to pre Ronald Reagan who destroyed the middle class with deregulation, union busting, tax cuts for the very wealthy.

Reagan had the largest increase in the deficit of all previous presidents COMBINED, he expanded government to its largest size yet, and put everything on credit including the "star wars" program. He had the largest increase in taxes on the middle class EVER. This assholes points can be easily debunked and have been so many times one gets weary of educating them because they just retreat and then lie their way with twisting mis information to convince the ignorant.

They caused the current disaster and want to continue it because the wealthiest will not suffer from our economic collapse and view it as a way to regain power. They are millionaires who only want to protect their holdings and the means to continue to profiteer at our expense. They are lying greedy a-holes wo only care about power and not the good of the country. They want a working class poor so they can pay them whatever they want and increase profits...just like they do with the Chinese slave labor while the committee are all billionaires. They wil try to sabotage Obama just to regain power. That's why they will remain the minority. We wouldn't be hearing from them now all over the place except they own the media. They call the media 'liberal' so they can spout right wing propaganda without being challenged or it's "unfair" cause everyone knows it's a liberal media. Bullshit you lying bastards...we are on to you...if your lips are moving-you're lying.

2. the rich get richer on the debt of others
So simple even I understand why we've got a phalanx of RW talking heads trying to mislead and misdirect us "poor sods".
This is the biggest and most important media relations fight in history (IMO). SO glad Obama at's the helm

4. Not to mention the United States Economy has always done better under a democratic president-ALWAYS
...Look it up; numbers don't lie, the economy has always done better under a democrat for president.. and by always, I mean ALWAYS. To add, since the Dow Jones was established in 1901, the stock markets always done better as well.

- You mentioned FDR and the New Deal; Even though conservatives would love to have you believe it was ALL World War 2 that got us out of the depression, aside from a spike in 1938, from 1933-1940 the unemployment rate went down every year. WE WENT TO WAR IN 1941. Also, by 1938 The New Deal resulted in 3.3 million jobs created.

- You mentioned how the upper 5% are getting taxed more; don't forget how families making under a certain amount are actually getting a tax-cut, imagine that, a tax-cut for people that not only need it but will result in an actual stimulation of the economy.

- When you wrote, "Under the repubs the banks failed, the stock market crashed, and the housing market collapsed...sound familiar."; to be more specific it was Herbert Hoover and his disastrous economic policies (policies mirrored today by John McCain and Phil Graham) that turned a recession into a depression. Hoover even coined his strategy calling it "Trickle-down" Sound familiar? Before that it was called "Horse and Sparrow" and after "Trickle-down" it was good old "Reaganomics"; never really evolving into anything different; just different nicknames and slogans to sell the same tired failed economic system over and over again.

- By the cool-aide ridden legacies they've left behind; we can thank Hoover, Nixon, Reagan, and GW for really taking a shit on this country; on it's lower and middle classes anyway.

3. Limbaugh words are absolutely treasonous, Obama is a "war time" president!
Edited on Wed Mar-04-09 02:30 AM by LaPera
No matter how one looks at it, wars which president Obama inherited from Bush & the republicans....

Bush constantly loved being a war time president, used it all the time to get illegal agenda passed, (the war in Iraq stealing oil for the corporations).

Bush used being a "war time" president for everything, labeling people traitors who disagreed with him, hiding documents in the name of national security, spying illegally on American citizens, torture, on & on on....hiding everything, Using executive privilege because "we are at war"

And if you challenged the "war time" president, Bush, ones patriotism would be questioned.... Limbaugh and every republican would be screaming at the top of their lungs calling it treason!

So now Limbaugh announces to everyone, including our troops fighting overseas....that he, (Limbaugh) wants our president, Obama to fail, Limbaugh & the republicans want our Commander in Chief, our war time president to fail.

This is TREASON - by Limbaugh & the republicans who are now agreeing with him!!

Tell me, would this not be called treason, if a democrat screamed he wanted Bush to fail, during Bush terms...Limbaugh & the republicans would be screaming for the Dems head, attacking the Dem as unpatriotic, treasonous, and pointing to the moral of our troops whose lives are in danger on the battlefield hearing this about their Commander-in-Chief?

The republicans would call it treasonous!

5. I tried. I really tried.
I can't watch the reTHUG liars spewing their revisionist crap. Just can't do it.

Kudos to the Ariannas and Stephanie Millers of the world, because they've got the stomach to take these clowns on.

6. Arianna said to their faces that it was people like them falsifying the facts
on talk shows, lying about how we got into this economic mess, who are the danger to America.

I fell in love with Arianna when one time on Bill Maher's show Real Time she said that Tom DeLay's political career might survive the scandal he was caught in if "enough celebrities died that week."

That one guy, Lars, just infuriated. "The New Deal didn't work." So he wants to go back to the oh-so-effective policies of Herbert Hoover. And he tried to blame the current financial meltdown on Clinton. Poor George Bush was just a helpless spectator for eight years.

7. A Good, Srong Second ...
Arianna Huffington is just not effective enough on Television. She and Stephanie Miller finished second to these third-rate liars that opposed them.

Stephanie is the funniest Liberal we have, but her jokes fell flat last night.

Arianna and Stephanie are intelligent, articulate women, but their counterparts have had a lot more experience telling lies than they have. That's the problem. We desperately need to come up with a strategy to hold snakes like these from wriggling free once we catch them. Arianna, especially; let too many quick republican talking points slip past her, over and over again last night.

This is television: Every time Ms. Pfotenauer smiled, Rush got sixty two more male listeners in the Red States.

It was not a bad performance. It's just that we finished in second place.

11. Republicans don't like people.
They are full of hate and fear and think only of themselves. They don't understand the "cooperative ethic" lets lets everyone come out a winner in the end.
