1. The root of the problem is evil Republicanism.

The privatization of prisons ( and everything else ) leads to profit motive which leads to corruption.

6. I don't think we are up to 7 million people in Jail/Prison. I thought it was a round 2.5 million.

They were doing kick backs in China on prisoner executions when they sold the organs. Sad to see kick backs in the USA. Were privately own prison part of the premise for Cool Hand Luke? Or just general corruption in the South.

I almost worded this in a very different way.
But no, it's not worth it.

The area in question is Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Not in the South. Not in China.
And, by the way, "Cool Hand Luke" was a movie.
You know, it's like it's not real and stuff.

It just really gets old, time after time after time, after someone notices some particularly barbaric or stupid act, it is automatically assumed that those damned Southerners are up to their old tricks again. It's not like we don't have enough loons about the place as it is. In fact, if I have to hear about one more "good Christian man worried about his taxes going to the 'wrong' kind of folks" I'm going to go ape shit.
