considering i am sure the DU has some baseball fans in its midst, i want to ask this question to you all. IS A-ROD WORTH THE MONEY now that its been proven that he has taken some illegal substances during some of his peak years??? Is he truly deserving of the richest contract in all of sports?

there is no way that sports figures are worth millions more than teachers or nurses

with sports with long term contracts, there are many players who are being payed more than they are worth

i think someone who is clean, like Manny (THUS FAR, i am not ruling out the idea that he is also a druggie) deserves a big contract, not someone who deserves an asterisk by their name.

5. Well, baseball is screwed up as far as parity goes anyway....

9/10 MLB teams wouldn't even think of paying one player what A-Rod makes. It's a screwed up system to begin with.
