1. Howard Dean should have been HHS
Dean is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Democratic Party.

2. Yes, the reality is that Howard Dean would have been the best choice
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 02:31 PM by avaistheone1
for that position. I am confident the American people would have had a better outcome if Dean had led health policy at HHS.

5. Exactly
Howard Dean set the table for Obama to get elected plain and simple and he is treated like the red headed stepchild of the Democratic Party. He is a man that has great ideas, he is charismatic, and I know that if he was the HHS we would have health care and soon.

6. I don't get it. Dean outshines Sebelius on all qualification levels.

This is an Obama misfire in my opinion.

7. Yeah he totally does
I was also reading about Sebelius's connection to big pharma that makes me nervous. But I guess we will see.

8. AND he calls for REAL public options, not just private insurance options.
He was again very clear on this issue. Including opt in to Medicare would make it real reform.

9. Kathleen Sebelius is not a good choice...
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 03:58 PM by rexcat
if she is in deep with the insurance companies and it is the insurance companies that are one of the major problems today concerning health care in this country. If she is for universal health care and wants to limit or eliminate the health insurance companies as the primary source of money for doctors and hospitals there is hope.

As far as Obama's view on health care in the US while he was a candidate I was not impressed. Others, including John Edwards, had better plans. I hope he wants universal health care without the health insurance companies involved.
