moment of heaven on earth - when the young Iraqi woman put her hand to the grieving soldier's face and murmured, "Inshallah". Wow... Could you.. could the author of a classic novel or drama make that up?

2. Thanks for the post
One of the many, many, many things that trouble me is that I imagine Fallujah to be equivalent to red state America, with NASCAR families, NRA supporters and hardcore religionists. If our country were subjected to the madness we are subjecting to them, it would be the red staters who would fight back, hole themselves up and fight to the death. But, oddly enough, the red staters do not see the resemblence and offer no empathy toward their "soul mates". Yet, when I hear about the mother's forgiving gesture so soon after that tragedy, I can only see how a red stater, under the same circumstances, would remain furious over their loss and would yell and scream about the injustice.

Our blind hypocrisy troubles me so much. And when I hear stories like the ones of this gentleman, as an American, I feel like volunteering myself for a beheading.

4. The single most powerful reason
I have ever seen for getting the hell out of their country.

Thank God for the internets so we can know the truth. This is a secret war, we are not privy to information re: the war. We are only asked to pony up the dough. Let's not let this be bush's secret war any longer.

Please send this to as many people as you can.

10. Can you imagine if after 9/11 if we had the courage and the guts
to do what that woman did for that soldier where we would be today. Even after 9/11, I felt it was wrong to go to Afganistan. Innocent people always pay the price.
