1. He just said an idea could be "DEMOCRAT" or Republican
Could Democratic politicians, at least, use the right adjective? ? Please? Just because every f*ing republican asshole says "Democrat" plus lots of pundits, can't we at least name ourselves and our ideas correctly?

2. The Party is the Democratic Party
The members of the Democratic Party are Democrats.

If he was referring to the ideas themselves then it would be incorrect to call them Democrat.

But if Obama was referring to members of the party, then the usage is correct.
