They should be an example to all states. As I understand it, prison overcrowding is a big problem across much of the US. Violent crimes against people is also growing in many parts of our country.

But South Carolina has apparently solved these problems and can focus on making their state more polite. Do you think they could have a law making saying the N word a felony too? Maybe they could pass a law stating that it would be a felony not to say "You're Welcome" after some one says "Thank You." Next, there could be legislation to send kids to juvenile detention for not sending thank you notes to adults who send them gifts.

Five years in prison for saying "FUCK"? :wtf: So we're going to fill our already overcrowded prisons with non-violent offenders at a cost of $20-30,000 (or whatever amount) per year at a time when our country is spiraling into a depression and there aren't even funds to care for prisoners who are already incarcerated?
