"In these excerpts from one of his early interviews, Rush reveals how the talk radio sausage is made. Like any form of entertainment, the primary goal is to capture the attention of the audience and compel them to keep listening. Rush is remarkably candid in describing his attitude toward his performance and the importance of caller screening."

"The Comedian Rush Limbaugh" indeed.

He's a Puppet Master for the Freeper types, and he admits it.

At least Thom Hartmann come from the strength of his arguments not manipulation of emotions.

Found this on Fark, thought I'd share with the lurking trolls.

1. I've known this for a long time.
Ignoring these clowns is probably the best thing. Obama should not utter a word about Rush. In fact, we should not either

2. News, just like everything else
in this economy, is just another source for a revenue stream. In the case of Limbaugh and the rest, it bears little resemblance to legitimate commentary, much less anything that could potentially be informative. Everything those guys say and do is designed to be neither fish nor fowl. It could be news to somebody who wanted to know something, commentary for somebody who needs intellectual or emotional support, or humor for somebody who would like to be entertained - all at one time. It's just a way to suck money out of people's pockets.

3. Meh. The Bloated Pig.
I see that was back in his days as a blimp before he lost weight only to regain even more.

5. Nice find
That shows what a shitty attitude Limbaugh has. While he's playing games he's affecting important public decisions. Its OK with him if the country goes wrong so long as he can make people mad enough to tune in.
