Here are my thoughts on this news:

If they want to round out a progressive evening, I really think TYT gives a unique perspective. I don't see anyone being bored by the third hour of MSNBC prime-time even if they watch the first two hours (of Olbermann and Maddow).

I should mention that Cenk has been a guest on Countdown before (possibly twice but I can only remember the time Keith invited him on because he loved of labeling Fox News as "opinion media", ).

Also, (where Cenk also hosted the likes of and ). At any rate, make sure you watch these clips of Cenk on CNN Headline News and THEN tell me he wouldn't be incredibly entertaining on TV:

1.

2.

PS---Cenk already gets awesome guests. Naomi Klein, Naomi Wolf, Ted Kennedy, David Sirota and too many others to name. On TV, the possibilities are endless!

5. Where the hell are all these bundle-wasting crooks coming from??
Where did they ever learn how to manage ANYTHING??

Planet Mars??

I mean, they sure LOST their common sense a fricking LONG time ago...

Or maybe THEY NEVER HAD ANY COMMON SENSE since the day they were born?

15. Any body have a picture?
I would like to see what a 1,400. garbage can looks like. People object to paying me $500. for a painting for pete's sake., that took 2 weeks to do making the overhead, about $400. profit 100.!

Also Dugg the article at your link. We need this guy on MSNBC imo. This is the kind of story people need to hear about, told by a man who doesn't use venom in his voice when he uses the words liberal or progressive. In fact he is a proud progressive.

We start getting more Cenk's on the air, and we won't be having these stories about CEOs ripping the public off at an unprecedented rate imo. People will KNOW this garbage is going on in numbers to great for them to get away with it. As it should be.

16. Screw that...for $35K that commode should...
follow him around for LIFE and continually dunk his stupid fat head into it on an hourly basis!!!

This is exactly why I advocate punitive prosecutions of all of the Wall Street criminal exectutive officers. They should not be allowed to keep $0.01 of the money they STOLE from flase earnings reports and inflated "profits" since 2000 or earlier.

Justice demands that there are consequences for amoral law breaking. A slap on the wrist is totally insufficient on these cases...Thain, Fuld, Paulson, et. al. MUST be brought to a very public day of reckoning for the crimes they have committed against their shareholders, their employees and the general public..

14. Has there ever been a time when incompetence is rewarded so handsomely?
Edited on Sun Jan-25-09 09:40 AM by bulloney
Will these clowns have to repay this money they bilked from the taxpayers?

Thane and the other CEO taxpayer mooches will reappear with some other company and get back on the gravy train with their multi-million dollar salaries and bonuses, because this is all a big clique and they all take care of each other.

And these are the same assholes who whine about how they're overtaxed. Hell, we should double their tax rate for the crap they've been pulling these past few months.

17. How can people with Ivy League MBAs be so fucking stupid?
Not only is the public face of this debacle going to bite you on the ass, but what about the people you actually invite IN to the office?

"Yeah, we asked the govt. for bailout money because we previously mismanaged our money. Oh, by the way, I paid a designer $800K to do this office. Like it?"

"No, mother fucker, I DON'T like it! My money is with you numb nuts?!"

Unbelievable.

19. Some are frat rats who couldn't find their asses with both hands
but they know daddy is going to give them a cushy job when they graduate and all of their frat brothers get the answers to the tests anyway.
I used to grade the papers from my lab students and you could always tell the frat boys because the papers were identical down to the typos. The jerks were so stupid they couldn't even correct the mistakes.
American Royalty. Sons of privilege. Now you know why Junior is such a stupid fuck.

21. It's not about getting an education
Going to University is about pledging and becoming friends and making contacts with the new generation of corporate criminals. This is one of the ways the 'system' perpetuates itself.
