The reason Hamas rocketed Israel in the first place was because the Israeli government blocked U.N. food & water shipments into the Palestinian territories. Palestinians were and are still suffering and dying from malnutrition from the illegal, inhuman Israeli blockade. The Western media failed to report this fact. By law, Palestinians have an international legal right to use force to evict the illegal Occupiers Israel. It is the Israeli government who is unlawfully occupying the Palestinian territories.
Israel has been unlawfully occupying the Palestinian territories since 1967.

We can't say who is right or wrong based on casualty numbers? Hitler started WWII asshole! The Palestinians, right or wrong, launched cheap ballistic missiles randomly into Israel's territory killing 3 people. More people are killed every day in car accidents. At worst it seems like a criminal acion that could be investigated and prosecuted in court. Launching airstrikes that kill innocent people is a ridiculous overkill that does nothing but get revenge and piss off a bunch of impoverished and desperate people.

Good point DU Lover........it's worth noting that Israel has been illegally occupying the Palestinian territories since 1967, in direct, unlawful, unrepentant violation of U.N. resolution 242; therefore, pursuant to the Geneva Conventions (since Israel is the illegal Occupying Power) Palestinians have a legal right to use ".....any means necessary" to evict the illegal Occupiers Israel - this includes, sticks, rocks, strap-ons, guns, rockets, etc. Israel blocked U.N. food & water shipments, thereby causing massive Palestinian starvation and suffering; - this is what preceded the rocket attacks. The Palestinians do indeed possess a legal right to evict the illegal Occupiers Israel, but they don't have a right to lob rockets indiscriminately into civilian areas. Israel has dropped so many bombs and missiles into civilian areas, they've killed more than 450 Palestinian civilians thus far, and wounding over 2,000 additional Palestinians. Palestinians have killed approx. four (4) Israelis thus far.

btw, Hamas ARE Palestinians; they are a grassroots political, social, military and democratically-elected government organization.

If Palestinians possessed nuclear weapons, we wouldn't be having this conversation - (MAD) Mutually Assured Destruction would generate Peace like a warm nuclear breeze.
