2. Did you watch it? It's 5 mins long and you replied after 2 mins...
He was talking about the alternatives and that we as a species need to solve this crisis.

Anyway, in answer to your question...

Tons of CO2 per capita:

4. Per capita or not
China is building coal plants as we speak, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

China is the world leader in CO2 emissions, overall.

BTW, I'm on dial-up, and rarely play vids.

6. All I know
is that Canada produces about 2% of world CO2 emissions, and we are doing a fair job at reducing them. Meanwhile China is plowing ahead with more coal plants, but very little is said about that in the media.

7. erm...
"very little is said about that in the media"

After a very brief google search I found a lot of media reports about (here's just 3 as an example), I know there's a lot more out there but if you want to see more do some googling.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/6769743.stm

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/11/business/worldbusiness/11chinacoal.html

http://www.economist.com/business/displaystory.cfm?story_id=10145492

What is missing from the MSM, however, is the great strides that China's solar power industry is making (google that as well to see what I mean).

Anyway, just because China has it's own problems, we do not have the time to sit idly by and whinge about it. At last we have a president who is determined and has the vision to do something about it.
