1. The real job will be handling the corporate democrats that are going to dig in against this.
I have ZERO confidence in our leadership to get this passed.

ZERO.

2. Who's that big mouth interviewer?
I am so sick of interviewers talking over the people they're supposed to be interviewing. It's annoying as hell. This guy did a good job of handling him but it's a drag that the folks being interviewed have to talk over or constantly re-direct to even come close to completing a single thought.

3. Joe Kiernan (sp). He's a host on the 6-9 a.m. show, "Squawk Box."
I swear that every single on-air host or reporter as MSNBC has this almost religion-like hatred of unions. It's scary when they all get going on it.

6. CNBC was originally supervised by ultraconservative Roger Ailes of FOXnews
Roger Ailes hired Joe Kiernan and the other original broadcasters that are still there.

5. Congressman Bonior was our congressman until the
Republicans gerrymandered his district out of existence. He was the tough minority whip who brought Newt Gingrich down, so he was a high priority target. He is currently a labor professor at Wayne State. He also managed Edward's campaign while it lasted. We miss him. We now have a Bushbut Congresswoman and former Secretary of State. At her request they carved up our district especially for her benefit.

8. I'm from Michigan originally.
Bonior was a great guy then and he still is.

I live in the DC area now, largely for job reasons. I grew up north of Muskegon in a teeny tiny town. My Mom still lives there, and I'm flying out a week from now.

I have relatives and friends in other places in the state, including Spring Lake, GR, Flint area. I'm still friends with people that I met when I was 5! It sure feels good to go home!

I hope that things work out for Michigan. It's a wonderful place--even the Detroit area! Love the Institute of Art!

Oh, and GO BLUE despite the football season.

9. So they have him on for an interview...
...and spend the whole interview trying to shut him up.

Boy they did not like what he had to say. And the guy kept practically shouting him down during his strongest points.

"Well all the businessmen we have on, their greatest fear is..."

"It's the legacy stuff that's killing us..."

(the "legacy stuff" being things like the pension and health care plans that the workers PAID INTO for 30 or more years before retiring -- and now they should give it up because the industry is dying because of bad decisions of the top brass not to mention the government that is so pro-business that it broke the work force)

GRRR...

Thanks for posting. Bonior is a good guy. Too bad people like him didn't have the power in the Democratic party over the last 30 years. Instead "our" party got co-opted by the corporatists.
