threads. Like the fact the neighborhood was actually a 'Little Italy' and was not as bad as she made out. Seems her connections with the Young republicans and McCain's campaign could be actually more extensive than the media are reporting as well.

The scandal comes from behind the republican veil.

From Drudge who used words like "carve" and "mutilated" to amplify the seriousness of the wounds, to the local party members who called cable and local news outlets with bogus quotes from the "victim" to pound home the point that this was done by a black Obama supporter.

Even those super sleuths at FR jumped on the bandwagon in recreating the crime for a maximum racial fear factor and gore.

All in all this scandal, and the disillusioned young girl, has served to expose the Republican Party for it's core of racism and dirty campaigning.

13. I worked in law enforcement for years. VERY few people are unable to appreciate their actions and

the gravity of them, EVEN if they have some history of "instability." She knew exactly what she was doing. Look at the planning, detail, and aforethought that went into this. OF COURSE SHE KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING AND WHY ! One can be a bit "unstable," and yet FULLY know and appreciate what he or she is doing. If you look into her past, I am willing to bet she has done MANY things to attract attention to herself. In a sense, yes, a sad personality type. Look for the real possibility of problems in her homelife, neglect, etc. At the same time, if she actually is a McCain volunteer, look for a combination of attention-seeking narcism opportunely driven by underlying right wing ideations and racist attitudes. But make NO mistake. She KNEWS and KNOWS just exactly what she did and why. The excuses are termed "minimizations of guilt in order to save face."
