Edwin Meese, former Reagan AG, said that there was no solid evidence of hunger in America and that some people go to soup kitchens "because the food is free" ... he also defended Ebenezer Scrooge.

Reagan defended ... Meese of course.

2. Republicans don't care about you. Republicans don't care about anybody but

themselves and their rich friends. The only reason they help those rich friends is because if they don't, those who fall will drag them down too because they know where all the bodies are buried. Helping others to save ourselves, was - is - and will always be the republican mantra.
