1. That's the first thing I thought when McCain said that.. never assume

anything about anybody, EVER. McCain is such a dick.

2. yeah and when he said that I was thinking about how McCain

asnwered the question without seeming to know what exactly Fannie and Freddie do. It's like he didn't know that Fannie buys loans from mortgage originators and repackages them. For example, they were forced to by the worst and riskiest loans made by Countrywide, they didn't go out and loan the money themselves. McCain's grossly ignorant of this stuff and when he isn't showing ignorance he flat out lies.

Look, Fannie/Freddie aren't the sleazy unregulated mortgage brokers who convinced citizens to lie on the loan applications to get in over their head on ARMs with over abuddant fees but McCain tells this guy, you don't know who fannie and freddie are so let me tell you how bad they are!
