A new poll shows Obama widening his lead over John McCain. The same poll also shows that the majority of Americans believe that McCain is just another Bush.

John McCain supports the same economic policies as George W. Bush.

1. While basically on the mark, that is exactly why the fundies think CNN is a Dem mouthpiece

It just came off like a FOX clip. It was totally biased toward Obama's side, although in contrast to FOX it was based on facts. The presentation is the problem. I have good friends (before you read anymore, these are just Republicans, not morons) who are solid "I don't care what asshole they nominate, I'll vote for the GOP candidate" Republicans, and they would use that clip as an example of why CNN is a "librul media" source. Personally, I think CNN leans more GOP, but that isn't a widely shared opinion, at not least here in South Central PA. Factual as it may be, it does not help the cause as presented.

End of rant. Is it 5:00 yet?

4. Wolf Blitzer sounded in the tank for the GOP on this one.

Mr. "Everything's rosy so vote for the GOP." Notice how he said, "Now that the bailout has passed, voters becoming more optimistic about the future." He knows that pessimism correlates with Dem support. He was just totally guessing on this, making it up out of whole cloth, and the proof is that immediately when he turned to their senior political analyst Bill Schneider for the full report, Schneider corrected him, saying immediately, "Well, they haven't become more optimistic. They've gone from bleak to bleaker." This is called knee-jerk help-the-GOP generic blather. And the media has a compulsion about doing this. It's all about fitting in with the GOP cocktail party gang. The media provides cover for a stolen election. It's all very close! Neck and neck! They did the same thing when saying the Biden-Palin debate was a tie. They are collaborating with the stolen election even as we speak. And on Tuesday there will be a debate moderated by Tom Brokaw who is totally in the tank for McCain, a personal friend of Brokaw. Look for Brokaw to rig the questions to help McCain and screw Obama.
