1. It's CRIMINAL is what it is.
Bush - Cheney - Paulson and all their cronies must PAY for what they've done to this nation!

2. it's very easy to say now that they were threatened with such a thing
and i have no illusions that the bush administration is above declaring martial law.

however, that would be an unfathomably big mistake for the bushies. in the first place, it would taint republicans for a generation. in the second place, there would be a really pissed off citizenry with pitchforks and torches. there would truly have been blood in the streets.

3. Our Dems in Congress should have stood with us, martial law or not!
Instead they sold us into slavery and turned their backs on us!

We should never forget what they have done to us as we attempt to move forward in the bleak landscape that our entire government and their corporate masters have painted for us!

4. I do hope that everyone wrote their Reps
over that; calmly, but firmly registering disappointment in an administration that would stoop to such threats.

That was nothing more or less than strongarm robbery. Each and every taxpaying citizen is a victim of that crime.

Why aren't those criminals swinging from short lengths of rope from tall, sturdy objects? I'm generally a strong opponent of the death penalty, but I might be willing to make an exception for such repeated and vast crimes.

5. Don't worry. BushCo is prepared

Anyone who donates money to a charity that turns up on Bush's list of "terrorist" organizations, or who speaks out against the government's policies could be declared an "unlawful enemy combatant" and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.
