I don't think this is a good idea, but that's just me.

1. No it is the right thing to do.
It is so ugly here right now that Coleman will use ANYTHING against Franken. I mean for christ sake stuff he wrote for SNL should be on the table for these fucking people. Getting ahead of it is the right thing to do, do it on their terms.

6. Good.
Risky, agreed, but comes over as genuine.
The closing shot of him beaming in apparent pride,
his wife's support meant a lot, that seemed just right.
A risk, yes, but I buy it.

Endorsements by others might follow.
That might work out.

10. I'm not sure I'm going to say this right, but....
...my Mom stood by my Dad. To this day I give her credit for that, even though my only understanding was through the eyes of a child/teenager. Alcoholism, not a great thing to deal with in a family... but I saw my Mom stand by my Dad and he successfully pulled his sh*t together. Honestly, on some level, though I knew it wasn't necessarily true, I guess I thought you just did that for your spouse... meaning stand by their side, regardless.

Later in life, I watched my very close friends go through this with much different results, and let's not forget I was now looking through adult eyes. My friend, Beth, drank heavily and her husband did NOT stand by her side. AAMOF, he didn't even really try to stand by her side. For me, it hurt to watch. BUT... it made me realize that not everyone can or does stand by their spouse, regardless.

So I guess I'm trying to say that if Franken supports Franni, and Franni pulled her sh*t together, and they are still there for each other... well, I guess I have a deep appreciation for what that means and how hard it is... and if that's the support system he has and is taking into this election and potential senate seat ... well... if just one person (other than me in Colorado) votes for him based on the knowledge of the strength of their family unit b'cuz of this hiccup in their lives together... well... isn't that what family values is all about?!! Then this commercial would've been well worth it.
