7. Yes, as an ex-music major (or as anyone with ears) that was painful.

said that she had been performing for 10 years. Not a quick study.

15. Yes, it is.
I play the flute, as well. She sounds like I do when I first try playing a song that I don't know with someone (without sheet music) and I'm scrambling around trying to figure out what key they're in. She started out fairly okay, but lost it there in the middle.

16. Watching that makes me cry too.
I gave up the flute after three months in fourth grade because my playing sounded like Sarah's. I now realize that apparently I could have had a great career as an Alaskan flautist. ::cry:

20. I played the flute for over 15 years. I. Have. No. Words.
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 01:28 PM by kestrel91316
I had to stop listening after the first third of it.

To her credit, she was able to memorize the piece. I was never able to do that (some learning deficit).

My trusty assistant and I just sat through the whole thing........she played the flute for all of a year or two in JrHigh and she said even SHE wasn't that bad.

It made me cry. I am speechless at how genuinely awful that was. The woman is tone deaf. And has not learned to use vibrato yet (after ten years?????).

23. I swear my 17-y-old hospital mascot just tried to commit suicide over that flute
performance. Dusty is kind of old and senile and has some medical issues, and since her buspirone got recalled she has become more vocal.

She got up and stomped over to where her food and water are, took a drink, and started this wierd meow/warbling INTO THE WATER. Gurgle gurgle burble squawk meowgurgle blurb blurb. And then drank again. And then did it all over again, right in front of us.

Poor Dusty tried to drown herself so she wouldn't have to listen to any more of Sarah Palin's godawful flute solo. You heard it here first.

She completely lost it - she might have been doing 'air flute' for a bit in the middle as well.

Where's Chuck Berry and his Gong when you need him?

breath control. That's what she chose as a talent... wow.

40. Exactly. I was almost always first chair flute in band, and we never
had anybody that awful in junior high OR high school - MAYBE in 3rd grade when everybody was starting out.

I notice the sound track had a flute in it, so all she had to do was add some accents.

And that dress. Made my assistant scream when she saw it: WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING SHE'S WEARING????????
