1. This country of fucking morons should be ashamed of itself

for being ready to make her president just two or three weeks ago and for demonstrating its ignorance so much that a politician felt that it was a realistic possibility to get our public to accept a VP pick like this. He had to have some basis for thinking that you're all that stupid.

7. As a foreigner...

I´m from Iceland and I have had my share of hysterical laughter following this election.
I have friends in the UK, France,Portugal, Denmark and trust me when I say the world is watching this farce unfold.
And up until now Sarah has mostly been embarrassing herself, McGrandpa ,the Republican Party ...eh... Alaska...and yeah,about half of the Us population

But it just occurred to me...come the debates she´s going to make a fool out of all Americans on a global level, I´m serious and slightly concerned. Everybody will be watching that! Seriously, I mean is this some kind of twisted global Cringe Warfare ?

The US used to be a bit more subtle about the whacky aspects of your culture, politics and foreign policies but I guess you are going all out this time.

There´s a new term I heard the other day " To pull a Palin" meaning to blurt out some incoherent word salad.

Nor are all republicans stupid and ignorant.

America has a bit of a "culture war" between a cosmopolitan culture and a pastoral, conservative culture. The pastoral republicans also tend to buy into the last 30 years' worth of extreme anti-government rhetoric.

These themes date back to the start of america as a nation, but the divisiveness and cultural struggle i think is slowly building into what's inevitably going to be a very unhealthy breakdown eventually.
