Since conservatism can never fail, it can only be failed.

Gee, Joe, I hope you haven't been voting for W all this time.

1. Of course...
Never accept blame...your philosophy can never be cited...it can only be failed. This from the same folks who chant the mantra of "personal accountability."

Sick.

2. Bill O'Reilly declared the Bush presidency was over last week...
It's obvious they're trying to join many other Republicans in pretending that Bush Jr was just an aberration and that McCain will be different.

17. Separating Baby McCain from Bathwater Bush?
Nice try at disassociation on the part of the McCain surrogates -- it won't work though. Ultimately McCain sinks or swims based on his long-standing support of Bush's policies. In other words, he sinks.

5. This is bullshit
They are throwing W under the bus to avoid telling the truth - conservatism has destroyed America and W was very good at implementing their ideology. But when the shit hits the fan, they want us to believe that conservatism was not the culprit, it was W's mishandling.

6. what a phony... the word Conservatism has been butchered
it means nothing the Republican Party wants it to mean. I a liberal, am conservative with my money...

Most conservos use it just as a quiant label because the word itself has always been appealing to rural America. Republicans are fascists.....

The Conservatives raped America, and now we will have to pay for own rape kit, just like Ms. Palin demanded in Wasilla.

15. Interesting bumper sticker idea -
"McCain raped America's economy. Now we have to pay Palin for the rape kit."

23. That's Good! If you tighten it up a little more so its snappy
it would be a seller. Maybe:

"McCain raped the American economy
and Palin charged us for the rape kit!"

10. Crap. Bush is a conservative. He governed like a conservative.
And this is exactly what conservativism is all about.
It sucked in the 80s the 90s and it sucks today.

16. Bush failed the country. Screw his ideology.
No doubt "fiscal conservatism" as we know it is dead (it never really existed as a matter of fact), courtesy of Bush and his enablers. Bush's failure to advance its cause will only serve to bolster the partisan role of GOP cultural conservatives.
