1. Funny how McCain and the RW radio stooges are making a big deal again about Democrats

and their 'Hollywood connections.'

Here's a list of Hollywood celebrities who hold or held political positions as Republicans:

Ronald Reagan
Arnold Schwarznegger
Fred Grandy
Sonny Bono
Charlton Heston
Clint Eastwood

If you want to add sports celebrities or 'jocks,' add these Repbublican politicians:

Jack Kemp
Steve Bunning
Steve Largent
JC Watts
Tom Osborn
Jim Jordan

There have been several others who tried to run for office but didn't succeed, such as Mike Ditka and Lynn Swann.

I'm sure there are some Democrats who hold or recently held national political offices, but I can't think of any at the time. There are some who are running or considering running for office, like Al Franken or Dan Seals.
