Volunteers and residents welcome Barack Obama to Grand Junction as the first democratic candidate to visit the region since Harry Truman.

2. Great video--inspiring and gives me hope.
I have some friends who live near Grand Junction and who support Barack. Looked for them but didn't spot them in the crowd. Nice crowd, BTW. This grass roots stuff is working! Thanks for posting.

Grew up in Colorado. Amazing to know no Dem since Truman has visited the Western Slope. I used to hear JFK and family would go skiing in Aspen. Pretty sure there was no Vail Ski Resort back in those days. Just a lovely forested hillside...Ah, the memories!

Obama/Biden '08!

3. Obama in Pueblo was great, as well. The crowd was so positive,
the organization of the event was amazingly smooth. At least from my experience, it was. Even the police and the security people were polite, the police officers were very friendly and easy going. They are used to the crowds for the State Fair, and the whole event was much like that down to the wave a guy in our section got going....several times. It went totally around the crowd, even the people standing in front of the platform got in on it.

4. I was there also!!!
I was also at the rally in Pueblo. Being from there, I was so excited he decided to come to my town. It was such a fun experience. We were standing right in front of the podium. My whole family got to shake his hand and my daughter even spoke to him and was photographed doing it:

He really gave a great speech that day.
