As reported in 1969 ... the complete 30 min. newscast ran without commercial interruption and all of it on Eisenhower.

1. Interesting that they would refer to him as "General" Eisenhower.
...as opposed to President Eisenhower. I'm wondering if that was because he had his commission reinstated after the end of his term as President.

2. Ike would be appalled at what has happened to the Republican party and military
Ike warned of the country being taken over and controlled by the military industrial complex. His warnings were prophetic. Eisenhower along with Teddy Roosevelt were the only two decent republican presidents we had in the 20th century.
