I still have the overwhelming impression that some GOP supercomputer -- or maybe just a bunch of advisers -- pored over tons of socio-econo-theo-politico-demographic statistical data, with an eye toward energizing "the base" and creating a perception of "balance" on the ticket with McCain, and her name popped out.
