Clinton is not on the ticket because she refused to be vetted which Mara Liasson tries to point out but Kristol ignores. And he goes as far as to say she should be McCain's running mate. Yeah, I'm sure the Republicans would just love that Bill.

5. The problem for Republicans with the Biden VP choice

is that it ruins their plan to run on foreign policy. While some of Biden's votes may irk us progressives and middle-of-the-road Democrats, what Republican can criticize them really at this point. Kristol has to go back to some distant event over 20 years ago during the Reagan administration to fault Biden's foreign policy stands from a Republican point of view? Forget that. McCain cannot run on that.

This really rains on the Republicans' parade.

They had hoped that Obama would choose a governor of a state so that they could continue to point to the supposed lack of foreign policy of the Democratic ticket. Biden can best McCain on any aspect of foreign policy, and he is a union man, and he is a man who works for a living, and he is mature without being elderly, and he is a moral paragon and a genuine family man and sincerely religious --- and his ancestors kissed the Blarney Stone thereby bequeathing to him the gift of a silver tongue and a quick wit.

Nobody, but nobody can speechify like the Irish. Long live the Irish.
