2. Obama VP Choice

I'm disappointed. I thought he was for change, but he chose an Washington establishment VP. I thought he would at least go outside Washington and choose someone exciting that I could get emotional about. Oh well, it's politics as usual. I guess i will have to grin and bear it. I only hope that the VP choice will give us a winner.

It really should have been a woman VP choice. Hillary would have been my first choice, but other than her, Pelosi, Feinstein or Boxer. They have been absolutely wonderful representatives of our beliefs.

I just tossed several possibilities in the hat. Pelosi is very set in her views. Feinstein is more moderate and so is Boxer. Either of them would be OK. But I do prefer Hillary, but I think that Obama don't trust her.

44. Biden is not part of the DC "establishment"

The in-crowd uses their positions to gain personal wealth and live elite lives. Many of them rarely bother to visit the states they represent and never get outside the beltway.

Faced with 30 years of temptation, Biden didn't do that. He has lived an like an ordinary middle-class American. He lives among his constituents, he commutes on public transportation, he takes his own crap to the dump. That is *not* the life of a Washington insider.

Furthermore, if Obama is going to clean out the stench in DC, he needs somebody who knows who is who, and where the bodies are buried, so to speak. Biden has that knowledge.

Obama also needs someone who will stand up to him and tell him what he thinks. Biden will do that.

He needs to reassure some of the voters that he'll be guided by people with humanity, wisdom and experience. Biden does that.

Obama represents huge change. Obama plus a woman, sadly, would likely have been too much change for many people to swallow. It's a bitter pill, but its sadly still where the majority of the US is at.

Obama isn't a great attack dog, and shouldn't be playing that role. The rest of the dems have still not learned how to do it right. Biden is a master at it. Because he has maintained close and friendly relationships with his colleagues, and can do it with great humor, he'll be able to cut their policies and wild claims to shreds and get away with it. He was the perfect choice.
