8. Why is cap gains taxed at such a low rate

Most of the rich earn their money though selling pieces of private equity they have held for more than three years .. and possibly sell it for many times its original price -- they make millions this way -- not through a paycheck..

They pay no SS tax on it - no medicare on it ....and and pay just 15%.


I slog my back side off and have to pay 28% on my hard earned money -I am a careful spender but still had to pay my taxes with my credit card - while the private equity group that sold its stake in the company I work for ( sold it for 185 million on an investment of 10 million) ..gets to keep the money at 15% tax rate at best, creative accounting aside.


I am not cribbing about taxes -- but things should be a little fairer.

13. This is exactly what I want to see from our candidate. Keep

hitting back hard and keep the message simple so the "low information" voters can understand. He doesn't need to come to the center, he doesn't need to preach to the rest of us for whom the choice is obvious, he needs to focus on the 25% of the population that are still "undecided" and prove to them the earth is round.

Hit McSame hard with simple facts and simple repetition of the stupid shit the dumb SOB keeps providing FOR FREE every time he opens his mouth. I am holding on to hope...hope that the Obama will ramp up as we get nearer to November and by the time Halloween comes to pass and a few debates have been aired, it will no longer even be close. Obama by 20%.
