1. why are democratic candidates for president

never capable of speaking coherently about abortion? For the most part, Obama did very well tonight, but on abortion and gay marriage he had me cringing.

2. I'd Hoped To Hear More

I had hoped to hear more about how we take care of women and children in this society than that quick reference at the end. Perhaps, however, Obama did not want to seem to be attacking Pro-Lifers.

Although, I didn't get to see this interview in its entirety - perhaps there is more, but I think taking care of women and children should have been the focus of the response - you know, if women have adequate health care, a good self esteem, support of family, community, etc. - they are less likely to have abortions. Improving society is a better way to reduce abortions and protect babies than legislation.

3. This is, again, outrageous patriarchal arrogance ---

which is so uncommented upon ---

Some males want to sit around discussing THEIR religion, THEIR male sky god ---

and possibly lessening their control over women's bodies --- ????

Let's face it, folks --- this has been about forcing procreation for thousands of years ---

about keeping birth control from females/families --- and about forcing women to have

children they don't want ---

I think it's especially arrogant of Obama to suggest that he supports limits on late term

abortions --- if they provide for the health of the female --- BECAUSE IT SUGGESTS THAT

SOMETHING ELSE HAS BEEN GOING ON --- !!!

It suggests that in this male's Christian mind -- and for the benefit of other male Christian

minds --- that there is some truth in "partial birth abortions" and other filthy crap those

obsessed with "fanatical fetus fantasies" hold dear!
