1. Damn. That was smokin' hot Mr. Malloy. Points well made w/ "cathartic" rage to-boot.
I especially liked his analogy of an Olympics Gold Medal winner/loser. Brilliant.
'
I just hope this doesn't deepen any divides in the Big Tent however.

economic crisis. He ticked me off saying it but I know what he means the theory falls flat that it is most likely we won't get the filibusters proof Congress. It was just a theory he was thinking outside the box. Mallow doesn't set out to appease anyone he beats on Democrats and Republicans alike.

We are a banana Republic, and that is one fact that smokin' Mike gets every moment of every day.

oh yes they give us electios every 4 years. But you need to realize if the result is not to "their" liking, the election is reversed.

The only people who will run this country until there is a revolution are the Corporate-controlled.
Period.

And until people's cable TV boxes go dark, I am doubting there will be a revolution.

12. what the f---?
way to go malloy, this from an old man who has to have a young wife. i guess 60 something year old, would make him look older. how many times does someone refer to kathy as your daughter, since is almost your daughter's age. i am so tired of the hate toward hillary because she is a woman with power. you should really be looking at obama and why he has not sewn up this nomination. this is why obama is "appease" honoring hillary. obama cannot win this without her. he has a problem. stop the belly aching and get obama elected any way you can. this is not the way to do it. i stopped listening and watching any talking head for whom i knew from their remarks for whom they were voting/pushing.

16. my husband and i heard this in the car on thursday night...
he voted for Obama and me for Hillary...
but we are DEMOCRATS first.

We BOTH had to turn this off. We LOVE Mike, but we totally think he's off on this one.
We just didn't think it was fair of him to go off like this. We didn't agree with this.
AND by party rules, she can have her name placed for nomination. It's just a formality.
She knows she won't win. It's just a matter of procedure. If I had gotten that far, I wouldn't mind, for the record, having my name placed in nomination.

We think bartcop has said it best at his topic "What's the point, Bart?" on his page from Friday.

21. Yeah, that has always
been my huge issue here- if the roles were reversed at all during the primaries, Team Clinton would have eviscerated Obama for daring to stay in as long as she did. Now everyone is falling over trying to appease the Queen. She LOST. All this is smoke and mirrors to placate the massive ego of Hillary and what her deluded mind thinks she and her husband is owed.

She is NOT the nominee, Bill is NOT the president, they need to check their egos at the door.

28. You said it!
I heard on some show that if you don't push back on the Clinton's they will run all over you. Because Obama didn't push back, 2 of the 4 days of convention go to the Clinton's? He's trying to please EVERYONE and it wont work. I don't understand this. They lost to Obama - why can't they just suck it up and move on? That's what you do, if Kucinich doesn't win, you go on to maybe Edwards, if he doesn't get the nomination you move on. You don't stay with that person and complain it's all been unfair. This is endless and just keeps hurting the democratic party.

22. democrat first
i agree, we should all be democrats first. who cares if obama puts hillary's name in for nomination. it is probably just a waste of time. i do not care if obama or hil are the candidate but it must be a democrat. we cannot be sure that a veto proof congress will be in place even if the dems are in the majority. we have too many dems that should belong to another party. we have to stop this tearing down of either candidate. mike malloy is a t.v. personality, he is selling himself to his audience. his ratings come before this country's prez election. that is the way it is. we are the owners of this government, whatever it is. my point about mike malloy and younger wives is they see women their age as old, too old to run a country, too much "ballcutting" power, thus a younger wife, less threatening. another facet of malloy's personality. i was a fan when he was on air america and nova. but when these people start the spewing of hate for one candidate over another, i draw the line. their job is too inform, not be the propaganda channel.

hes not a tv personality, hes a radio one.

secondly,
its always someones a sexist, isnt it? cause thats what youre getting at. he married a younger woman, there for he must be controlling and a sexist.

I really hope this country doesnt start to repress women the way they have been in the past, some of you people would have to kill yourselves cause you couldnt handle the pressure. thank god the women that came before you were strong, knew their battles for justice, and didnt go around slinging words and insults at people just because they said something they didnt like. thats no means to better themselves.

seriously, some you are just sad sick individuals.

god forbid you ever actually be really repressed. i dont think you know the meaning of the word.

36. sexism
ok so he is a radio person, radio/t.v. what's the diff? he is still playing to his audience. he still has a wife that is 30 years younger. so she chased him, not much of a race given the age difference.

as far as repression of women goes, it is here and present. this is what so many of hillary's supporters are upset about, they have experienced the prejudice. i am part of the past. i am part of the female revolution, i am 67. my head has permanent bruises from hitting that glass ceiling. i helped pave the way, to today for women to have less prejudice. but all the prejudice is still there. it is more subtle but it is still there. the posts here prove it. you are blind because you do not stop and listen. all of you should be upset of the sexist treatment of hillary, forget her politics. your female family members suffer this prejudice everyday. this prejudice also implies that men of today cannot cope with women of power, you poor men, so weak.!!!! sexism is one prejudice that hurts all of us, we all should work to stop it!!!!!!

17. What I don't see mentioned enough
is that Malloy said if McCain is elected, then we need a veto-proof Congress. A president cannot legislate. So McCain is stuck with the mess. He made some good points, especially the get-in-line-with-Bush Democrats. Feinstein and Schumer are responsible for Mukasey.

24. I LOVES me some Malloy!
Older woman and Obama supporter here.

I feel sorry for the (mostly) women who think Clinton should take Obama's day in the sun away just for a bunch of formality that would do nothing for her except maybe that it somehow gives them all strokes, tho for the life of me, I cannot see how.

IMO it makes them all look like a bunch of sore losers who cannot let go. Obama won it fair and square. You know why? Because he did not support the war, she did and stood by and cheered about it and has never apologized for it. He does not think punishing low income women is moral (Hillary is an ardent Welfare Reform supporter which has done nothing but plunge entire families into lifelong poverty and makes the rich man richer). Hillary ran a negative campaign that now MCSame is using against Obama word for word, thanks to her. Obama's was one of hope. Obama was and is funded by We the People, not a bunch of lobbyists, Hillary was and thus would be expected quid pro quo for Big Business and Specail Interests more. Hillary is a participant in The Family, a group of conservative Moony wingnuts who think they are helping Jeeezus blow up the world for the Rapture and only THEY will go to heaven ignoring that their own prophet tells them THEY are behaving in an evil way. It goes on but perhaps people see the point that, Hillary IS NO PROGRESSIVE, SHE IS A WINGNUT. Obama is no progressive either, but at least he is willing to take progressive stands FOR the poor, FOR the little guy not the rich, FOR peace, FOR reasonable religious tolerance, FOR the separation of Church and State.

Malloy was right on the money imo.

41. Older woman here, as well. and I think you are spot on.
Hillary did not know or use the word "We" in her campaign, until it was far too late.

"We" have had far too much of "I" "me" and Mine" people over the last eight long painful years.

I think that the two words "We" and "I" measure an important distinction setting her apart from Obama in a disastrous fashion.

Thom Hartmann, Randi Rhodes, Sam Seder, Stephanie Miller, and Ron Reagan.

Mike talked about the catharsis thing there too. And I have to say, I agree with him.

Also, Sam Seder talked about PUMA, and said he would be surprised if there were even 3,000 of them in the whole country, but the media is giving them a big enough voice that it makes them seem like a bigger force than they actually are.

by the GOP to divide us. I can half understand the catharsis theory but some held back their vote till things were declared so they were putting their vote to the decided winner. Now they have to throw their vote one way or another potentially hurting their chances. It's unlikely we can reverse this decision now but it's logically not good. I wouldn't of wanted to hurt Hillary's congress chances had she won.

35. I don't think the Clintons
could steal Obama's show at the Democratic Convention. There is going to be such a deafening ovation and all the excitement, like his Berlin visit, the moment when Obama's nomination becomes official that it will generate such a big bounce that will bounce him straight into the WH, that even the crooked Republican Diebold machines won't be able to overcome.
