Whenever I talk to someone who parrots Rush's talking points, I bring up the fact that he's a drug addict; he was caught illegally carrying Viagra to a Caribbean island (for what reason?), and he's been divorced three times. Where does he get off judging other peoples' character and morals?

I really think Rush's listenership numbers are inflated. I think the reason he's on so many radio stations is because a handful of conservative advertisers are making the investment to keep him on. Rush is part of the Clear Channel family which owns about 12-14% of the radio stations in the country. With that kind of saturation, it's going to look like you have a lot of listeners. Where I live, his show is carried on at least three overlapping markets.
