This measure would authorize the sale of $5 billion in general fund bonds to provide alternative energy rebates and incentives — but by the time the principal and the interest is paid off, it would squander at least $9.8 billion in taxpayer money on Pickens’ self-serving natural gas agenda.

This old guy has all the money anyone could ever want and his years left on earth are limited, so he thinks he can make the world look to him as some kind of savior and get his ego a big boost that money no longer accomplishes. Sorry T. Boone, Al Gore beat you to it. Once a lying swiftboater, always a lying swiftboater. In my mind he does more harm than good to the nations energy policy, because he proved his actions are not in the best interests of Americans.
