"Of course they knew it was illegal...."

I was surprised the DoJ report fingered Karl Rove.

DoJ "hiring" report fingers Karl Rove = felony?

3. He was an R voter until not long ago. I forget the specifics.
There is an ever-growing list of former Rs in media now opposing the Junta.

4. he said on a previous vid that he was an R up until 2003...
when the Iraq war started.

I like Cenk - he makes a lot of sense - got balls - and speaks well

But :wtf: it took him till 2003 to figure that R's are rotten to the core?

It's been more than obvious for over 20 years.

Oh well - just wanted to get that off my chest

I still like TYT

7. No, at his speech at the 2007 YearlyKos (now Netroots) convention he explained his change

His last (R) vote was for McCain in the 2000 primary (and he regrets not having voted for Clinton).

I don't agree with him on every issue (he agrees we need regulation but sometimes he's too pro trade for my taste for example) but honestly I think his past gives him a unique and valuable perspective. A lot of progressive show hosts (who grew up as Dems) always tow the party line and defend the Dems *no matter what* which I can't stand.

By contrast Cenk (of course) calls out Republicans AND , which I love.

14. paging Hugh Laurie
I don't know why, but this reminded me of FOX's "House" tv show. It made me wonder how much agendabullistic nonsense is injected into FOX dramadies/akshun as well as their faux news.

For those of you who tune out the idiot box, "House" is a medical drama where the lead doctor in a diagnostic team breaks all the rules in order to save the lives of people with extremely rare and hard to treat conditions. In the process he orders his intern-ish underlings to break into people's houses on a regular basis in order to find environmental contributors to their illnesses, and look through their medicine cabinets, underwear drawers and assorted sundries. So here goes this crusty white male authority figure probing into the private lives of patients (read the nation) w/o authorization, permission or legality. Although Hugh Laurie (the actor who portrays Dr House) is admittedly almost as funny as the antics of our beloved Chimp in Chief. See him in the BBC's hilarious "Black Adder" as a royal chump, as ill-informed of British politics as President Shrub is of ours.

He also mocks and belittles Dr. Foreman, an intelligent black man by implying he is a carjacker, drug dealer, etc... (sardonically of course) to everyone's hilarity/annoyance. I guess the writers at FOX planned ahead on that one kinda like how a certain IL (D) senator's parents planned to warn us all that their son would be a Muslim extremist by giving him the middle name of Hussein. So I guess I'm stretching that part.

Anyway my point is that Laurie's previously endearingly rule breaking character (to me) is now looking analogous to these neocon repugs. Again, I know I'm stretching, but I had to say. It's FOX damnit!
