6. Subtle bias in favor of GOP

I have always thought that the JIB JAB cartoons were subtly biased in favor of the GOP. I see it in this one, too.

With truly funny progressive cartoons like Headz Up, and sites like Red State Update (political satire at its finest) I don't waste my with Jib Jab.

About 'Time for some campaigning':

It begins with Bush telling about all the things that went wrong under his watch. Then we see a portrait of him as a dumbass amids all the other presidential portraits. About McCain: "So forget he's a jackass who's liberally prone" and: "So forget my skin cancer and swollen left gland". Then he falls dead (unconscious?) on the ground. And they mock his militarism. The only thing they mock about Obama is his constant repeating the meme of 'change', and presenting his worldview as a fairy tale. You know, it has a base in reality: many people believe everything will turn right immediately after Obama gets elected.

But what I like best about this cartoon is not the mocking of Bush and McCain, but the cynical message that in politics, it doesn't matter who wins: the elections is called "a ritual", in which the candidates "tell you what ever you want to hear", but once elected they will "spin you around and prick you in the rear". I like that.

7. Hilarious! Everytime I think they can't top their last video... they DO!

Those guys are really talented. I love how they play with lyrics and music. It's amazing what they come up with. They're so good at characterizing their subjects in just one or two images. Their characterizations are always dead-on.
