1. Does anybody but me not find her funny and not because of the

topic this You Tube is showing? But the critics love her and I have never got anything but an amusing chuckle from her bits. Usually, as in this YouTube bit, I think she falls with a thud.

Cuz I am not seeing what all the fuss is about with her either. She seems to be a mildly amusing pretty face. I think its the pretty face that bamboozles the critics. They aren't used to the idea of a pretty face saying naughty words or doing naughty things.

He dumped his wife for her, apparently.

I don't find her work very amusing. By which I mean, I don't think it's funny. It seems more like she's trying to be cute than funny.

I really had hope. I had never actually seen her perform stand-up before. I'd seen her in Mr. Show on HBO, which was sketch comedy. I'd seen her crop up now and then in other things. A friend of mine has a DVD of one of her performances, and says it's fantastic.

So I watched her new show on Comedy Central, entitled "The Sarah Silverman Show".

It was bad. Not in an offensive way at all. It was just... She was trying too hard to be funny. Way too hard. Now, maybe that's the joke and I just don't get it... <shrug>

Huh..I like it that one hears laughter but whenever the crowd is shown, they don't look amused at all. Rather, they don't seem to know what to think about it.
But I don't know anything about this comedian so :shrug:..

7. Haven't seen the show, but I find her funny now and then.

She is kind of like Borat, because she takes every day idiocy to the extreme. So many comedians and comediennes, will satire themselves and by extension people like themselves. They will satirize politicians and media figures, but I think Silverman is brave in being willing to satirize us. She says what no one wants to say, but what a lot of people are thinking. Instead of celebrating our quiet bigotries like some comedians, she makes fun of them. Which isn't to say she's always funny, but she sometimes is.

I also love her but she is an acquired taste, more of a comedians comedian.
