but you may have got one thing wrong - it looks to me like they found you! i've only had one fairly lucid comment on my blog - it wasn't hostile name calling, just a very specious observation (i had lamented that gw LIES and LIES and LIES as if it's okay to lie, and this rw blogger left me a note asking whether i always tell the truth).

i've thought for some time that if i had to delineate the difference between reactionaries, republicans, and neocons etc, and bleeding heart liberals like myself, it would be that as far as they are concerned, the ends justify the means - and the ends are THEIR ends, not the country's. never mind if the means involve the premature death of thousands upon thousands of people.

anyhow as long as you maintain your eminently civilized tone if discourse, you don't have to say a word - they'll display themselves for the mean-spirited, hateful, mofos they are. my 14-year-old could tell you the names i call all of therm. but when i write to my lawmakers, i make real points.

i enjoy your work and agree with just about every sentiment you express so well. thanks
