Republican candidate Patrick McCrory posed the question during the recent NC Gubernatorial Debate, "What would Andy Taylor, the character of Mayberry, be saying...I think he'd be saying what sheriffs around North Carolina are saying."

Here's what Sheriffs around North Carolina are saying:

"Bev Perdue is not only good for law enforcement, she's good for North Carolina."

Bev Perdue has been endorsed by:

-The North Carolina Police Benevolent Association

-The National Association of Police Organizations

-North Carolina Sheriff and Police Alliance

-The NC Troopers Association

In fact, all law enforcement agencies that have endorsed thus far, have endorsed Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Bev Perdue and so has Andy Griffith. Yes, that Andy Griffith.

Rumor check: Did anyone else hear that the actress that played Aunt Bee actually strongly disliked Andy Griffith? I think she had issues with Andy being such a dirty sinner or something. The actress, Francis Bavier, was supposedly very religious, so should we pigeonhole her as a Repuke?

Industry is gone. The school system is eons behind the rest of the world. Otis is in 17th place as official town drunk. Yeah...the Republican rule has happened and small town America has been put to the gun. Anyone who acts like Mayberry should still look like it did 50 years ago has his head up his ass.
