2. The so-called "slams" in the CBS piece were mild...

and just involved critiquing campaign ads, which is standard ops and perhaps in this case even justified. Whereas OTOH the piece said clearly that the "Obama's a Muslim" rumors are false. We can't fight smears effectively if every routine criticism becomes a "smear" or a "slam."

3. Lou Dobbs (bless his heart) had a "viewer poll" about this

question was "do you feel Bloomberg should be tending to potholes and teachers salaries instead of promoting Barack Obama?"

Didn't see his responses, but this "push poll" no doubt got a whole lot of yesses while people like me quickly switched back to Countdown since the commercial was over.

It's not as though Bloomberg 'tends to potholes and teachers' salaries' OR speaks out on the Obama rumors. He didn't close his office and join Obama on the campaign trail for the love of God.

He was speaking at a gathering. Sheesh.

Do not be fooled. This is how the MSM has been sliming Obama all along. They do not actually say he is a Muslim or a terrorist. They report on the rumors .

CBS does the bidding of the Bush WH so that Viacom will not have to divest its media holdings. It has been out of compliance for 8 years.

Reporting the speech means mentioning the rumors, so I guess in your view it shouldn't have been reported at all.

Did you watch the CBS piece? It stated quite bluntly that the rumors are a lie. The reporter said that, and of course there was also footage of Bloomberg saying that.

Is that so damned hard to do America? Wake up you moronic society of imbiciles. He maybe didn't move a lot of legislation, but tell me a Congressman who did in their first two years of service.

God, I get so disgusted by these cheap shots. mcAncient has been there 20 years. You can see his record by his voting and his bills that he co-sponsored. Not all of it is so pretty, to my way of thinking.

All we have to go on from Obama is how he voted. Did he vote for this f*cking war? I think not. Nuff said!

10. Does anybody think Obama would give serious consideration to Bloomberg as VP?

I think it is an interesting proposition. I don't necessarily like that idea the best, but if you want to talk about driving a stake into the heart of the GOP, this would do it. I'm not so sure how compatible Bloomberg is on other issues.
