1. Treason?
I don't know about that...but I do feel the age of nuclear power has arrived. It's clean, cheap, efficient, and the Yucca Mountain (sic?) facility will be ready soon.

Fission power is a serious option which needs to be investigated. There's no reason why the entire United States should not be drawing all the power for its cities, factories, most of the infrastructure from nuclear sources in 50 years' time. Transport of spent fuel rods is safer than ever. New power plant designs are safer than ever. Three Mile Island was an aberration and Chernobyl was due to shoddy construction from the get-go. Red herrings.

We have the option - and I think it's our duty to investigate it.

3. In my opinion, what people seem to miss in this argument is that there
has been a real revolution in Quality Assurance over the past two decades. We can manage nuclear power and make the plants safer now than we ever have. I think we should increase Nuclear Power dramatically and move our commuter class cars to full plug-in's.

2. I am for increasing Nuclear Power in the U.S. but I disagree with Beck that it is somehow
progressives that are blocking that. It is the Repukes and big oil that are blocking it.

4. A disc jockey with a high school education
is lecturing us on energy policy. Quick, does any one know Casey Kasem's views on monetary policy?

5. Can we keep the reactor (and bury the waste) in HIS back yard?
I sure as hell don't want it near me.

Bad enough that I live relatively close to Perry and Davis-Besse (which almost lost its containment cap a few years ago).

9. Beck may well be the worst right wing talk show host on TV
I know, I know, he's got some STRONG competition, but still. He's just extra dopey and sarcastic making him obnoxious to watch, even with the volume down.
