1. It was disappointing
to see him get quiet when Campbell started to ask him another question. As a Senator, he should be more outspoken and abrasive and not let her quiet him. Likewise, he should embrace his entertainer personality and become a little more lively. This was pretty dry.

5. Franken the Leader
I live in the great state of Minnesota, I have my entire life (20 years or so, give or take a few days.)

For you to criticize Franken for "getting quiet." and calling him "dry" is pretty lame.

Franken is serious about the issues of Minnesota. He has to show that.

Likewise you can not begin to understand the media attention his "rape joke" and tax "evasion" got in the local media. He has a job to do over the next few weeks. He has to show the people of Minnesota that he is a serious candidate.
He has gotten alot of heat up here over being "entertainer first." Not many people i have spoken with know anything at all about the issues Franken supports. Those same people can tell me their favorite skits from SNL involving Franken, but know nothing about the "Franken senate candidate."

For you to say he should "embrace his entertainer personality" while being intergitatd by Cambell is bull shit.

What should he have done? When asked about the rape joke said, "Well Cambell i was only talking about prisoners on death row" and smiled for the camera?

NO

He has to show the people of Minnesota that he is strong on the issues. - Norm Colman has been a Bush Man for too long. He does not support anything Minnesotans hold true. He is a joke...Franken knows that. I know that. It is now the job of Colemans challenger, Franken, To make sure Minnesota knows that.

7. He believes he should distance himself from his comic image
and he's probably right about that. As for not talking over other people, he's always distanced himself from sludge like O'Reilly in that way, and he definitely is right.

2. Campbell Brown is an embarassement - she completely overstates the case
and is totally biased in apologizing for the worst baseless statements of the far right.

4. She went in with the intention to do a hit piece.
And I be all her colleagues will talk about how great she was after she's gone.

3. I thought he did a nice job of doing what he needed to. He was "serious" and
kept focused on the issues.

Anyone note the bridge in the background?

The polls say they need just that little nudge over the top.

9. I am in Texas and I gave him $10 hehe
I really wanna see him in the senate. I wannna see his debates. He's a humorist and a great liberal and it will be awesome when his natural sense of humor peeks out when he is ripping Norm Coleman apart.

10. After listening to Ms. Brown, I remember why it's been three
and a half years since I watched CNN. She didn't ask a single serious question about anything. She and her producers should be forced to watch 24 straight hours of Jon Stewart interviews to see how it's done.

11. okay. i just watched the first 3.41 minutes of this
and could not watch another second. CNN has their whores trained really well, don't they? just keep going after those republican talking points, don't say a word about the issues, don't respond to a word the candidate says, good GAWD that was disgusting.

someone needs to call these people on this shit, and al franken would have been just the guy to do it. i can only imagine what was going through his mind. he kept his cool and kept making his points and that disgusting interviewer wasn't the least bit interested.

12. Nice job of staying on point
The wry sense of humor is still evident now and then, but Franken actually looks very Senatorial.

13. Why the fuck is he on CNN?
He needs to be visiting factories and farms here in Minnesota so the rural people who don't get Air America can get to know him. Every time he comes out to greater minnesota, he fricken hangs out at the DFL offices! This guy is REALLY getting on my nerves because he's going to lose the election for us. This is an important seat that we can't afford to lose. Franken obviously doesn't know Minnesotans and doesn't know how to campaign to them. No one from Minnesota watches CNN except the hard-core democrats (who will already vote for him). And now Jess Ventura is running for senator......I'm tired of my state looking like a dog and pony show.

Okay, I just need to vent my frustrations with Franken. I'm just so mad because we're going to lose this seat.
