"This isn't the party I planned but I sure like the company," Hillary said as she opened her concession speech at National Building Museum in Washington, DC.

Speaking to the "18 million of you from all walks of life," who voted for her, Hillary congratulated and endorsed Barack Obama, stating:

"The way, the way to continue our fight now, to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passions, our strengths and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States."

she could have said more, and she needs to do more in the next months to redeem herself. she still claims to have won the popular vote, and her BITTER supporters think the election was stolen from her because of that false claim.

there is a significant number of her supporters that still thinks obama is a secret muslim and she has done NOTHING about that. ("as far as i know")

"i have a lifetime of experience, senator mccain has a lifetime of experience, and senator obama has a speech" i'm waiting for her to apologize for that.

6. Can’t we pull together? Some Obama supporters just can’t drop their inferiority complex.
YOUR GUY WON! The fact is that of all the people that participated in the process, more of them voted for Clinton then Obama by 176,465 votes. That is a fact.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

I know he wasn’t on the ballot in MI (His choice) and I know the popular vote in caucus states are not a true representation of the vote if those states had conducted primaries instead of a caucuses, but its over and Obama won fair and square.

I was a Hillary supporter and I already have been on Obama’s sight and given money but I just need to say that some of the Obama supporters out there need to get over the fact that your guy won and accept it with grace and dignity.

7. Exactly. We must pull together
It's the only way we'll win back the White House.

I feel for you, Bo Bike. It's difficult when your candidate loses. I've been an Edwards supporter for years. ;)

Thanks for showing dignity, understanding what the priorities are and getting on board with our Democratic nominee, Barack Obama!

8. it's also a fact
Edited on Sat Jun-07-08 06:58 PM by pedo
that you're counting a state that didn't have him on the ballot.

its also a FACT that more people voted against her than any primary candidate ever.

if hillary really wanted to unite the party why the hell would she keep mentioning that she won the popular vote?

9. You can’t resist can you? You are a sore winner.
Because Obama willingly pulled his name of the ballot in MI to pander to the voters in IA and NH is irrelevant. Hillary stated she got more votes because she did and was trying to convince the remaining super delegates to go her way so she could win the nomination. The fact that she got more votes then Obama was not mentioned on Tuesday or in her concession speech today, which makes sense because the race is over. Like I said its over and your guy won. Get over it and lets move on.

5. Yes, some did, unfortunately
I wish they'd shown the dignity that Hillary did, with her speech.

I have no doubts that she'll work very hard to help elect Obama.
