4. You know, it is pretty scary hearing someone who thinks

Obama is a Muslim (it is kind of a skin-crawling sort of thing), but it is even more frightening to hear people say out loud that the reason they would not vote for him is because he is Muslim. The worse thing is not thinking Obama might be Muslim, the worse thing is that everyone accepts the idea that his being Muslim is an acceptable reason for not voting for him. Being in error of Obama's true religion is one thing (and minor), being openly racist, and it being acceptable, is something completely different (and major)...

28. When I canvassed here in Oregon I had several democrats say that they wouldn't vote for either

candidate but would wait to vote for McCain in the fall. All I had to say was "so you like the war?" or "so you think the economy is going to do better with McCain?" and this got discussion going and they realized what a bad choice McCain would be. They usually would move toward voting for Obama.
